In a world riddled with a disease that plagues all who come across it, a young man and a teenage girl find themselves stranded with no recollection of who they are. The only hint to their clouded past the tattoos on their backs, Seven and Twelve must quickly find out who stands as the friends and enemies before they are hunted down for secrets beyond their knowing. With help from Scotsman MacKinley, Elle the A.I., and a few other characters, they may find that they are the only hope for a world they barely recognize. Time is short. The journey perilous. And their days are numbered.
