Seniors 4 Newborns

Seniors 4 Newborns is a group of dedicated people that do volunteer work for newborns in the Ocala area.Their mission is to make free layettes for as many babies as possible.  All babies delivered by the Midwives of Ocala or born through The Ocala Birth Center receive free layettes.

Their layettes include:

hand made blankets, sweaters, hats,
diapers, socks, onesies, receiving blankets, and burp cloths.

Donations are always appreciated. If you are interested in donating time, materials, or funds, you can contact the group through their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Seniors4Newborns

They meet once a month to share ideas,
coordinate colors and making sure they have enough inventory.
Three times a year they have a packing event. This is when they pack the boxes
for each layette. Usually they pack 80 layettes at each event. I was able to join their packing event yesterday. These photos show the work that this awesome organization does for the local birth community!
